And I had to miss this!

It is time for our annual backpacking trip and I missed it. Couldn't lift my pack up, so I got to stay home and visit with my sister and parents. I got the photo's and the hugs so I think I got a good deal after all. Too bad my pictures of Jan's family were fuzzy- But she brought the most wonderful produce. Zuchinni - cukes, tomatoes and yummy rhubarb muffins. Life is great! Thanks Janeal & Mike!

August Mud Party

We found a new use for our dirt pasture: Mud Volleyball. Actually the YM/YW arranged to play on our dirt. Kurt did a wonderful Job watering the mud and laying out the courts and the YM/YW did the rest.
Tyler and Christy were in fine form and spent the evening taking a mud bath and washing it off. FUN FUN FUN

Birthday Present

Jessi made this wonderful bag for me to use for my scriptures and other fun stuff. She made it just for me and I love it.

The longest week

On July 27th I went in for the final surgery - time to get things put back together! It turned into one of the longest weeks of my life! I didn't get to go home until Saturday August 1st, but thanks to my visiters I survived! Here Emma, Tyler and Aspen cheer me up. Aspen brought me a can of root-beer which turned out to be just the perfect thing to get the gastro-intestinal tract moving!Here Bree, McKayla and Carter help me take the pole for a walk. It was great to have these helpers make it easier for me!

Simpson Reunion Rafting Trip

There was a small turn out on the annual float trip with sick kids and moderate weather but the few that went had a fantastic time. It was a lot of fun to see all four brothers out on the river together again.

Family Reunion -July 10-11-12

On our way to the reunion, look who stopped in! My gorgeous sister Arlee and Andy - on their move to the Seattle area- and Leisha who is in the area visiting her family - and getting a quick visit with her in-laws - We are so lucky/blessed to be on the way. I love getting visits - short or long.

Then it was up to Siscra for the Simpson brothers/family reunion. I am awful at taking lots of photos- hopefully I'll get some from Neil, any way - here are the few I took.Zoe collecting stuff

The face side of that photo. I think the best part of the reunion is (as Jed said) just letting the kids play freely and getting to know their cousins and greater cousins. One minute they would be on their bikes, the next playing ball or giving wagon rides or crafting or roasting marshmellows or just plain getting dirty. It's all fun.


And we treasure the times we have with Oma Great. Thelma is always amazed at how many of her posterity manage to make it up to the reunion.
