Belated birthday

This month Gil had a birthday. This good looking young man - who I love and adore- I won't do the string of why I love you's- because it would be pages and pages long. I bet if you know him, you can also think of many wonderful qualities he has and wish him a belated happy birthday. Guess how old he is in the photo.
These other two photo's are just to show how young and fun Gil's brothers Norm and Gordon are. They built several of these "high" bikes for their adventures.

What's not to love

Ellie discovered the hidden fruit snacks AND the joy of emptying the cupboards
We made valentines and more valentines. Some wound up taped to doors in heart attacks.
Zoe and Bree started to wash their hands, and discovered it's just as much fun to wash hair with wash rags. They giggled and giggled.
Bree was invited to a princess party. We discovered that the princess dress ups were really tattered, so we made her a new one. (in one afternoon- don't look closely at the construction)
Another joyous photo of Ellie. She took all the bowls out of the cupboard and served blocks in them. Yummy.

Last week

Last Saturday night, we had a little snowstorm.Sunday morning we had a little bit more.Enough to make little snowmen on the lawn Sunday night.
And then on Monday, all of the snow was gone, except a few ice lumps.

So they painted their noses green.

Fun loving boys

These are my boys. I love that they like to do fun things together.
Sometimes I think that their definition of "fun" is different than mine.
Sometimes I try not to think about what they do in their "fun" times.
I love it when they share their photos and stories with me.
I am always amazed at the incredible things they do.
Oh yes! I am thankful for my fun loving guys! :)

Happy New Year

Our celebration was low key and very pleasant. This is breakfast on New Years Day. We were so lucky to have the great grand parents here for the night. It is a joy to have my mom and dad here.

Home made party hats make the evening complete. So do the noise makers and blowers. We are resolving to have a happy year this year and hope that for all, no matter what, it is a happy 2010 for you too.

The ice has frozen and melted

The annual ice rink was a 2 - 3 day success! At first only the light weights could stand on the ice. And then, be careful - it is really really slippery.
Then the fun began. Aspen showing that sliding is just as fun as playing hockey.
