Circle skirts for Halloween

Have you seen the Lalaloopsy dolls? Adorable rag dolls with button eyes and fun hair. Months ago, Aspen decided she wanted to be a lalaloopsy for Halloween. We finished her costume earlier this month.

Couldn't find the same polka dot fabric, so we decided this would work. Added the bows behind the buttons- (this photo was trying to choose between tulle and ribbon behind the button)

Too bad I didn't get a photo of Aspen trying it on, we'll have to get a Halloween photo.

This is Emma's skirt - the girls were having so much fun posing and twirling - I had to take photos

The Lalaloopsy doll has black and white striped tights, a tiny pink polka-dot on white blouse with a ruffle. Pink shoes/boots and red arm/hand warmers. Pink hair button eyes and circles of pink on the cheeks.

She'll be adorable.

Birfday today

Today is miss Ellie's long awaited 3rd birthday. She is enjoying her day and thrilled to be "this many" (holding up 3 fingers). We feel so blessed to know this little princes. She delighted in her dress ups, purse, jewelry and chapsticks.

Introducing Lincoln

Carter with Rachel -we don't have a photo of Carter and Lincoln yet.

September 9th is a genuine RED letter day in our house. First it's Carter's birthday - He just turned 7 and now it's also Lincoln's birthday. Lincoln was born at 10:57 in the morning, is 7 lbs 12 oz and a whooping 21 1/2 inches long. That brown hair is just over an inch long. :)

They came home from the hospital on Saturday and on Sunday, Lincoln's great grands came to meet him. This lucky little man has 4 great grandmothers and 2 great grandfathers - and 2 sets of grandparents. This is the Sunday hair do- show off. 3 days old.
And Thursday, just before I left we took another family photo. Now Lincoln is 6 days old.
And my daily update photo. 9 days old. We think he is really cute and welcome Lincoln. Jessi and James are doing great. They take to being parents like ducks to water. Perfectly.

Blissful Labor Day

To have a wonderful "Labor Day" invite your grand-daughter to sleep over. She'll have so much fun. Sleep under the stars, wake up at 4:30 am but let every one sleep til 6:00. Stay in bed til 7:00. Then when really bored- she'll decide to clean out the pond. "It's a service project " - and then she leaves. Thanks for coming Hannah.

Mucky yucky muddy -oops- water inside the gloves. Oops- water inside the boots. Look at what treasures we are finding. Oh, That's where that went.

Picnic dinner. Every one was too wet to come inside - and the weather was perfect.

Opa, now that you've cleaned up the pond - lets put the pool up.

The little one is just too small - oh, this is the hot tub! This is why the hose is running hot water from inside the house.

Hey - make room for Jake

Meet Carter's pet toad. It's his pet.

Rachel's blessing

What a blessing it is to have Rachel in our family. She is so sweet and we love her. Carlee picked a photo of a dress she wanted, and we did it. Our blessing dresses are unique for each child. Isn't she beautiful?
