First cousins, once removed?

We had the opportunity to have visitors from the other side of the state. Olivia is one day older than Hannah and Kaitlyn is a few months younger than Hallie. Parents are cousins, girls are great friends and take any opportunity to get together they can. Hannah and Olivia were playing lion and tiger with deviled egg - yum. Sorry - no photo of the eggs on their noses. Hallie and Kaitlyn had a great time dressing up and playing playing playing.

Easter Adventure

What a weekend. Loved it. But it was sure busy. Saturday between soccer games we had our family BBQ and Easter egg hunt. This photo has all but Emma (at a friend birthday party) and Tucker who was outside hiding Easter eggs.
Oh the anticipation -especially when they have to get their photo taken first. To bad I haven't learned photo shop to combine these two photos so you could see everyone's face in one picture.

Jake won the kindness star. We let Jake and Ellie have a head start. Jake would open his eggs to see what was in them before he put them in his basket. The kindness was because Zoe tripped with her basket of eggs and Jake went over and helped her pick them up. He even put them back into her basket.

Zoe and Maria checking out the "real"eggs. Aspen found 8 of them, and took 7 home. The 8th she ate in-between bites of candy.

Whoopee - it was Hallie's 8th birthday Saturday! She has been celebrating all week- and would continue Sunday with her other cousins.

Since the guys were all here, Gil asked for help getting a tree trunk over to our house. We could call it the egg hunt of mishaps since 3 kids needed band-aids for bleeds and we also wound up with a goose eggs and stitches. Oh, and Tucker got a goose egg on his shin.

This tree will be part of the support for the chair-lift swing Gil got for his birthday.
Sunday- Easter was great. We had a broadcast from SLC for Stake Conference. All of western and Northern Idaho was included. We had some great Easter messages from the general authorities and got to listen to Elder Ballard and President Uchtdorf.

Monday was Bree's 4th birthday. She is into Barbies and loved celebrating all weekend too.

I should rename this blog - "the things our grands do that make us laugh

Thursday was a nice day - finally a warm spring day. Gil had inflated the astro-jump and the kids played and played out side. About 6:30 Ellie came through the kitchen hauling a pillow and her blanket. I followed her out side and saw that the girls were planning a sleep out. Comfy cozy and warm ( Until the sun drops and the breeze picks up)
Night Christy, Night Bree, Night Ellie

Not.

My brush

I was a bit late getting the camera. At the top of the stairs Opa said: "What are you doing with my brush?" Ellie's logical answer was "I going to brush my dolly" So downstairs she went with all of the brushes from the upstairs bathrooms. When I caught up to her, she was already brushing her dolly's hair.

Library Story and Craft

Twice a month the library has a story and craft time for 3-5 year olds. I signed up Bree, Christy and Aspen. Today is Christy's birthday and she just quivers with excitement. First the girls find their names and put them on.
After the story, the leader has the kids do some moving to music. Our 3 were the cutest kids there. They went out into the middle of the room to move with the music.
For the "old wagon" song they got back into the big circle.

Look at how much fun they are having.
Next it was craft time. We made paper bunnies - (oops sideways photo)
And did a silly bunny pose. The class ends with free time, playing with playdough, blocks and or bubbles. Going to the library is fun.
