May Flowers

We had a day warm enough to swim. So the kids helped turn the sand pile into a pool. At the time it was only 71 degrees, so Gil put warm water from the house into the water so it would be a true "Hot Tub" The swim-suit drawer got it's first workout of the season- Blooming pretty kids
Our sand pile grew Hallie, Carter and McKayla flowers. Potted in sand, picking was pretty easy.
Our neighbors have this gorgeous blooming tree. Kim was off for a run to the library and took everyone along.

This bouquet of flowers was hiding from me- can you imagine where? Up they popped - just like the first crocus' blooms of spring. Tyler, Christy, Stella, Aspen, Zoe

I've posted this photo before, but it reminds me of how quickly time flies and all of the sudden a whole year has gone by and I haven't even taken a good photo of my parents. How can I tell them how much I appreciate and love them. I do think it's cute how often they hold hands and how wonderfully they treat each other. They are the best example to me of living the gospel - serving and loving. Thank you. I will take a better photo next time we get together.
We had the privledge of hosting Thelma for a couple days while Neil helped with a move in Twin. The first thing Bree did was climb up onto the bed while Oma was resting and join in the rest. She stayed there for a couple of hours just chatting and keeping Oma Great company. We are blessed to be able to tell our mothers today (and often) how much we love them and appreciate them.

May Day

It's Birthday time again. May 1st is Carlee's birthday. We are so lucky that Kurt fell in love with Carlee and brought her into our family.
She is fun loving, a super good mom. Incredible cook and treat maker. Athletic, fantastic smile, hard worker, patient, kind, long suffering, good friend and even has naturally curly hair!
Besides treating us with yummy food, Carlee is helping us save money with couponing. It is amazing what bargains she gets. Lots of good stuff with little money. Besides doing her CJ's Sweets & Treats business Carlee also coaches volleyball and supports Kurt as a wife and helpmate.
AND (drum roll please) she brought three beautiful smart adorable grandchildren into our life. How blessed we are.

April Showers bring May flowers

The kids and I were sitting a the computer on April 27th when suddenly the sky errupted and hurled hail stones amid lightening and thunder. It was exciting. The kids wanted to go outside and play in the "snow", but with the thunder, we kept them in. I remembered my baby tomatoe and green pepper starts out side and ran to rescue them. It was coming down so hard that a hail stone bruised my hand where it hit. Pelted is the word. Deven rescued my plants.

If you look close at the green pepper leaf closest to the right, you can see where the hail shreded the leaf and put holes in it. Ahhh spring weather is so exciting.
