Last Saturday night, we had a little snowstorm.
Sunday morning we had a little bit more.
Enough to make little snowmen on the lawn Sunday night.
And then on Monday, all of the snow was gone, except a few ice lumps.
So they painted their noses green.

Did they read the story about the wooden puppets - can't remember the name - where they all paint their noses and then paint them again and again and then finally have to get all the paint sanded off and it hurts?
I have that book and thought about reading it to them at the time, but it was such a spontaneous moment, I just let them enjoy it. Aspen's nose was green all day. I'll read it to them next time they are rowdy and need to slow down.
