This beautiful day started out in an interesting way. The water quit while Gil was in the Shower this morning. Since we are on a well, not a water system, it was "Oh no!" Something is wrong with our pump. First we checked for water (is something broken and flooded?) No! Yea! that is very good. So we called the pump company.

Yup, our 39 year old pump is kapoot. - by the way, it is 63 feet deep. We replaced some of the pipe too- it looked as rusty as the pump. And now, we are back in business. We have water and all is well. It is a tender mercy that today is Friday and the pump went while Gil is home and available to deal with it. How fun would it have been on Sunday? Not fun. So now I get to do the dishes, and wash some clothes and it's really nice to have water. (After we run the taps for a while to get the rusty water out of the system)

Yay for water. Yay for a new pump. Yay for having the Handy Man home to deal with it all.

It's funny when you know there's no water you'll still go to the sink and for a split secong wonder why the water isn't running. Never fails.
