Snow Day

Yesterday morning, when it started to snow, the little girls went out to play on the swing. There was some residual white stuff, but nothing special. What a difference 24 hours makes!
Same time, 24 hours later. We didn't even anticipate a snow day, but when the 5:00 am phone call came to Deven (in Spanish) everyone relaxed. The english recorded message came about 6:45 am. So McKayla and Carter didn't even change out of pj's. They just put snow clothes on top of their pajama's and went outside.
This shows how much snow we had by noon.

Deven saw a couple of racoons come out in the night from under the deck. They had a fun time tracking the racoons in the daylight. The snow was so deep for Bree, she just gave up and made a snow angel.

In the afternoon cousins came over and it was time for a snow fort and sledding. Opa hooked up the sleds to the back of the car and they went into the pasture and the yard = HOOKEY BOBBING
and then inside for hot chocolate. Yummy.

We haven't had a snow day in years- what a great day we had today.
