I am Thankful that we don't have to limit our traditions to just during the holiday the tradition follows. Yesterday, I brought in the pumpkin and Carter reminded us that we didn't carve Jack-O-Lanterns this year. So what that Halloween is over. We hadn't carved pumpkins. With some supervision - I let him go for it (He did the nose and mouth all by himself) Bree helped clean out the guts and Ellie loved it all.
It was pretty scary -lit in the dark basement
and that made all the difference
After a while, I cooked the pumpkin and made pumpkin bread.
